چکیده
In this paper, we have evaluated Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of interleave-division multiple-access (IDMA) systems with BPSK & QPSK modulation techniques when the system is subjected to Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) in the channel. The BPSK and QPSK modulation techniques are already well trusted techniques with codedivision multiple-access (CDMA) systems however, IDMA scheme is referred as the extension of CDMA scheme. The simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of QPSK modulation in comparison to that of BPSK modulation method apart from the inherited advantage of better spectrum utilization. Thus, with the QPSK modulation exposes optimum and efficient data rate to mobile terminal for IDMA schemes.

In this paper, an iterative incremental relay selection (IIRS) scheme is considered for wireless cooperative networks in order to increase the reliability of transmission. Different from the conventional incremental relay selection which incrementally selects a best relay for only one iteration; the IIRS scheme iteratively applies the incremental relaying and relay selection processes. To evalu...
متن کاملSome Aspects of Interleave Division Multiple Access in Ad Hoc Networks
We consider some aspects of interleave division multiple access (IDMA) in ad hoc networks. IDMA is a multiple access technique which relies on an iterative multiuser detection and it has a close relation to CDMA. Traditionally, the medium access control protocol sees the physical layer as a collision model, while in literature the potential of multiuser detection techniques in ad hoc networks h...

The use of directional antennas in wireless ad hoc networks can significantly improve global performance due to a high spatial channel reuse. Nevertheless, its introduction poses new location dependent problems related to the MAC protocol. In this paper, the Balanced Incomplete Block Design theory has been exploited to develop a new MAC protocol for wireless ad hoc networks using directional ant...

1 We introduce a platform that simplifies the development, performance evaluation, and comparison (DEC) of cross-layer protocols for multi-hop ad hoc networks (MANET). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first platform that provides an integrated API for controlling and assessing, on a per-packet basis, the physical layer and MAC/LLC parameters (e.g., frequency channel, power, rate, codin...
